X-Men: First Class

X-Men: First Class (2011) was pretty disappointing, honestly, but if you're a big fan of X-Men, or just Marvel in general, you should probably go see it. I preferred the also-recent Wolverine, if we're looking at X-Men movies, so maybe this should be the one that you skip.

Hot Pink Blush

Blush in the summer is pretty fun, since it spices up your face. If you pick hot pink blush, use it sparingly and just enough that you can see the color, but it doesn't overpower your face. If you use it right, though, it looks gorgeous and totally brightens up your entire face.

Trim Trousers

"Trim trousers" sounds like a fun, British term for the way I see this look: skinny pants rolled up to just above the ankle. They come in all kinds of colors and styles. Unfortunately for me, the look is not very flattering on short women, but if you're tall and slim, you're in luck. This look makes your legs look even longer and thinner, with the extra bonus of making you look very chic.

Scenes From A Mall

Scenes From A Mall (1991) is a Woody Allen movie also starring Bette Midler. It's pretty good, an interesting relationship drama between two people that have been married a long time that spend the day at the mall together. Recommended for anyone who likes Woody Allen movies or relationship dramas.

Daytime Sheer

Sheer clothing doesn't always have to be a nighttime thing. It also can be a work look, as long as you keep it tasteful. It's also a pretty nice look for summer, and as long as you make it obviously daytime, it looks great.

Anything Else

Anything Else (2003) is a pretty good Woody Allen movie where he actually advises someone, as like a father figure. It gets to be pretty funny when you realize how stupid the characters are, and on purpose. It's a neat love story.

Mixed Media

When you wear accessories that have more than one texture, or fabric, or just media in general, it makes them much more interesting. They can work on their own to accessorize your outfit, or combined with other, more subtle accessories.

Smokey and the Bandit

Smokey and the Bandit (1977) is one of my favorite comedies of all time, starring Burt Reynolds, Sally Field, Jerry Reed, and the ever-hilarious Jackie Gleason. It's such a perfect movie, and I've even heard it called the "quintessential American film." Anyone and everyone should go see it.

Tough Cookie

To me, the idea of looking like a tough cookie means feminine shapes but with tough-looking details or colors, something gothic or menswear-ish. This look can be really fun if you play it up right, so just have fun with it.

Sleeper

Sleeper (1973) is an early Woody Allen film, starring him and Diane Keaton, and it's really funny. It's about Woody Allen's character, who was cryogenically frozen and woke up in the future under an oppressive government. It's quite hilarious. So today I picked out some futuristic-looking pieces.

Flirty Tasseled Bags

I used to hate tassels, but now that I've seen these bags, it's hard not to! They add just enough texture to make any purse more interesting. I adore them on bags with flirty, feminine shapes and colors. They have them in more vintage and western styles, if you prefer traditional tassels, but they also put them on very modern bags sometimes, whose contrast I love.

Singin' in the Rain

Singin' in the Rain (1952) is one of my favorite films of all time. Unlike a lot of the musicals of the era (although I love them), it has a real story and develops its characters, while having fantastic musical numbers too. It's also immensely fun, so I recommend it to anyone. This film also takes place in the 1920s.

Polished

Sometimes in the summer it's challenging to look polished and professional, mostly because of the heat and sweat. However, I chose some pieces that look pretty and office formal while still (hopefully) keeping you cool.

Sweet and Lowdown

Sweet and Lowdown (1999) is an awesome, funny Woody Allen movie about a (fictional) jazz guitarist's life in the 1920s. The clothing is gorgeous, the dialogue is witty, and it's one of my favorite Woody Allen films. If you like Woody Allen, the 1920s, or awesome guitar playing, you should watch it.

Bronze Eyeliner

Bronze is a more light, sparkly, and metallic version of ordinary brown eyeliner. It's also rather pretty. It's great if you want a nice, light eyeliner for summer, and also decent for night if you want a lighter look than regular black.

Peplum tops

Peplum tops are great in that they hide your stomach like empire waists, with the added bonus of highlighting a small waist. I wish I owned more, since I adore tops that make my waist look even smaller. Plus, a ton of them are super cute.
