This comedy, from 1986, is one of the funniest films I know. It features Matthew Broderick as the lead character. Not as easy to appreciate if not a teenager, but John Hughes brings another incredibly relate-able masterpiece in this film.

Sometimes great cocktail dresses are challenging to find in the summer. Some that are in the middle between casual and fancy are even more difficult. So here's some that might spark some ideas of what to buy, or where to shop, for your nightly boy-hunting and bar-hopping.

Some beautiful colors in the spring are soft citrus colors, which i define as pastel and soft lime, lemon, orange, and grapefruit colors. They're bright while not being overpowering, but have a bit more of a kick to them than ordinary pastels. When put together, only stick with a couple of them, but an outfit that includes two of these colors can definitely pack a fashionable punch.

The Shining (1980) is my favorite scary movie. The funny thing about it is that it's terrifying the first time you see it, hilarious the second time, and in-between the third. It stars Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall, who carry the movie along with their fantastic acting. Stanley Kubrick is the director, who always does an amazing job.

To me, a mid-length skirt means a skirt that hits anywhere between the top and bottom of your knees. It's not an extremely popular style, but it can be very flattering if chosen correctly. Also, for anyone who doesn't like to show their thighs (or just doesn't feel like shaving them) but still wants to wear a skirt, this could be a great option.

A Clockwork Orange is a film that was made in 1971, but based off of a book written in the 1960s. It's a very violent and sexual film, but the great part about it is that while showing that, it's against sex and violence. It stars Malcolm McDowell, who is an absolutely brilliant actor. It's a film that takes place in the future, and the way I see the style of it is that it's as if the 1960s hugely bright colors, mod decorations, and pop art had continued, becoming more pronounced and sex-centered. Anyway, it's an extremely interesting film, but certainly not for the faint of heart.

I can never stress the importance of femininity and elegance in your wardrobe. Those two put together is how I would define the style "ladylike." If it makes you feel feminine and pretty, go for it. That is seriously a trend that you can never go wrong with.

Easter Parade is an absolutely adorable movie from 1948 starring Fred Astaire and Judy Garland. What more could you ask for? It's funny and has great music and dancing. So here's some 40s-esque spring fashion, to go along with it.

Silver nail polish can be flattering on anybody. It might take some experimenting with shades for your specific skin tone, but luckily several websites (OPI, etc.) have applications where you can look at how the color looks on different skin tones. So handy. Anyways, this trend is so pretty for spring, where the silver can contrast gorgeously with your lovely spring brights and pastels.

Burgundy is a color that can be potentially flattering on anyone, depending on your skin tone and the shade of eyeshadow that you pick. Some might say that burgundy is too dark for summer, but if you use it sparingly enough, you could find a new great hue for you.
