This weekend, I watched A Night at the Opera, a Marx Brothers movie from 1935, for the first time. It certainly wasn't my favorite Marx movie (I prefer Duck Soup and Monkey Business), but it was hilarious, like the above scene. So I thought I'd incorporate it into the blog, and prompt the question, what would I wear going to the opera? The answer: a floor-length dress, probably accessorized with a 1930s-esque headpiece.

Coral Eyeshadow
I know that this is my third post today, but I figured I should kick off my blog with more than just one inspirational piece. Lucky Magazine's March issue discussed wearing coral on your lips, but I think that coral eyeshadow is gorgeous for March, too! It's springy, while not being too bright if worn correctly.

Love Shack
Recently, a few of my friends and I performed "Love Shack" by the B-52's. It was probably the most fun I have ever had onstage. I sang, while there was a guy singer, guitarist, bass player, and drummer. It was awesome. Not only is the song amazing, the video is fantastic, and pay close attention to what they're wearing. I absolutely love how one of the girls pulls off the orange outfit/orange lipstick combo.

Teal
Hi everyone! For my first post, I thought I ought to cover something that's essential to me, and that is the color teal. It can be used year-round, and is flattering and chic on most skin tones. Modcloth.com, one of my favorite websites of all time, has the most beautiful pieces, and certainly does not shy away from the hue.
